Last night we dropped Nicole, our youngest, off at Camp Shalom. It’s the first time one of our kids has been to camp, and she was pumped. She had her stuff packed days ago, and had no problem waving us off! And to be honest, it was easy to say good-bye to her seeing the quality of the young people who serve as Counselors. We were invited to be part of the small outdoor worship service that kicks off the week, with singing led by some of the counselors and a short talk by the chaplain. Witnessing the enthusiasm of these young people for God and for the kids, and seeing them use and develop their leadership gifts, the church is in good hands. And so is Nicole.
