Quote from Sunday:
We are not to be surprised if living as Christians brings us to the place where we find we are at the end of our own resources, and that we are called to rely on the God who raises the dead. —N. T. Wright
On Sunday evening, we watched a video teaching from the 2006 Lausanne Young Leader’s conference in Malaysia. The strength of this video is that it helps us to see that the mission of the church is not simply moving from the West to the rest of the world. Instead, we need to realize that today, the gospel is moving from every part of the world to every other part of the world. Most of the video can be seen on this link. To see the final 6 or 7 minutes, you’ll need to download the file.
John and Ann Span spoke movingly of their ministry in Guinea. It’s a place most of us know little about. I certainly didn’t know much until spending a week there earlier this year. You can learn more about this West African country in this helpful overview by the BBC.
