Another Way to Meditate on Scripture: Lectio Divina

In today’s message at church, I mentioned an ancient practice of meditating on Scripture called “Lectio Divina.”  In our Home Church groups, there is an opportunity to practice this.  I have attached a copy of the Lectio for group and individual study below.  Thanks to Mars Hill Church for this resource!

If your Home Church used this exercise, we’d love to hear your insights.

  1. Our group participated in the Lectio Divina this evening. What stood out for me is that every person had a different part of the Psalm leave an impression on them. Meditating helped us to reach deeper into the word. It also helped us to relate it to everyday life. My prayer became more meaningful, as a result.
