Day 16: James 4:11-12

Today’s reading is short, but it packs a punch!

Brothers and sisters, do not slander one another.  Anyone who speaks against a brother or sister or judges them speaks against the law and judges it. When you judge the law, you are not keeping it, but sitting in judgment on it.  There is only one Lawgiver and Judge, the one who is able to save and destroy.  But you—who are you to judge your neighbour? 1. I once heard a pastor say in a sermon that we, as ‘church-goers’ do a better job of talking ABOUT people and not talking TO people. This reminds us to also love the sinner but hate the sin. Rather than sitting in judgement ourselves, we need to love one another and let God be the judge.

  2. We are a little bit jealous of not being there with you!! What a great experience again for you! Keep safe! Love you lots! Mom and Dad
